Dawn and Peter, Chicago lakefront engagement session

Dawn and Pete are proud adoptive doggie  parents, say hello to their puppy Ferb.  He’s so cute and he loves to go chase the bunnies at the nearby park, so we started off the session with a little walk to look for bunnies…but first we had to make a quick stop when I saw this beautiful natural shadow frame.

At the bunny park, Ferb is really anxious to get in.

Took full advantage of the gorgeous light.

:)

FAVORITE!!! I love everything about this photo, the color, the different textures the cuteness of Peter and Dawn, and how the puppy is looking at them.

At their condo Ferb models for a treat. Look at his little tail wagging :)

Yes, he’s the perfect little model.

“D” is for Dawn.

Gotta love a couple who will sit on the ground when I ask them to, without missing a beat.

These next two are my favorites as well, the sky was perfection.

LOVE!

Casey and Eric, Chicago Illinois downtown engagement session

Casey’s only request for their engagement photos is that includes the Chicago skyline, got that covered no problem with a few bonus shots and locations as well ;)

As most of my regular blog readers know I love the color red, reflections and clouds…I’m happy to say I got all those covered on this post :)

Eric (aka Chicago’s DJ Jem)  was quite the relaxed model, he’s a pro in front of the camera and behind the DJ booth.

Love!

Why yes, they are cute and photogenic, thanks for noticing!

Favorite!!!

And the reflection shot  in their lobby.

Shannon and John Chicago engagement session

Despite the 95 degree heat, and the fact that John doesn’t like to ‘pose’ for photos I think we all did a fabulous job with this engagement session :) Looking forward to the wedding very soon!!

Love this one!

I love Chicago!

I made a comment that I loved his hair,  and he said thanks but he needs a shampoo  ;)

John proposed on a carriage ride, so we definitely had to take a photo there.

My new favorite top secret location for photos ;)

Kristin and Tom, Palatine engagement session

I met up with Kristin & Tom in Downtown Palatine, they live there and they met at a local bar so the City has special meaning for them. We had a lot of fun walking around and exploring the area :)

Kristin claimed those shoes were comfortable, I’m not sure if I believe her…but they sure were sexy!

One of my favorites!

If front of the bar where they met :)

LOVE this one.

Her gorgeous rock.

Cuteness ;)

Amy and Dan, Illinois Engagement session

So I might as well jump right in and start with my favorite photo from Amy and Dan’s session. I’m a huge fan of color, but this photo just had to be Black and White. It’s so much more interesting and dramatic.

Another favorite!

But I like this one in color as well :)

These two little tots wouldn’t move so I included them in the photo, then later I noticed that their clothes matched Amy & Dave’s! HA!

Great choice on the clothes, you guys looked great!

I love it when a couple incorporates something fun and/or meaningful in the session, Mr. Monkey was the perfect model ;)

Stephanie and Tim, Chicago Engagement session

It was a pretty chily day for their engagement session, but Stephanie & Tim were troopers…all smiles and no complaining.

Whyyyy yes they are super photogenic, thanks for noticing!

Right around this time I bumped my head and said something inappropriate ;)

Stopped at a cool restaurant/bar to warm up.

The bartender was nice enough to buy us all a drink!

A quick stop at the L.

The Church where they’ll be getting married is in the background, can’t wait for the wedding :D

Adria and Paul, Arlington Heights Engagement session

This is the most romantic couple I know…I’m friends with them on Facebook, and the sweet little notes they write to each other are just the cutest.  I especially love how exited Paul is to marry Adria, and counts down the months/weeks till the wedding.

This lovely fall day was perfect for their engagement session.

Favorite!

Love!!

Can’t wait till March 2011, they are going to be my fist wedding for the 2011 season :)

Published!!! My Photo featured in Chicago Social Brides :D

A couple of weeks ago I did a shoot for Loli  jewely at the Belle Vie Bridal couture store in downtown Chicago. I’m so exited that the photo was used in a full page ad in the brand new issue of Chicago Social Brides!!! If you have a copy it’s on page 10, you can also click *here* to see the issue on line.

Rebecca and Tyler, Chicago Engagement Session

I met up with two lovebirds in Chicago…With no specific locations to shoot, we just went for a walk. These are my favorite kinds of shoots just winging it and discovering treasures around the neighborhood. Rebecca and Tyler are super good sports, no hesitation at all about sitting on the ground to give me my red fix ;)

A wider shot of the same spot, I love the two pairs of feet on either side of them.

And speaking of feet…love this shot!

I love finding random murals in the City….all within a few blocks of each other.

Gorgeous!

This is one of my faves!

How perfect is that little heart on her sweater?

Favorite!!!!!

Yes, they are pretty cute…

….and completely hysterical. Since they met at a Halloween party, and we did  the photo shoot just before Halloween, they were all up for this idea. Thanks for trusting me!

Christopher and Nicole, Chicago IL Engagement session

I had a great time with Christopher and Nicole, they even came prepared with props! (more on that later)

:)

I have a special radar for red doors ;)

Love the cool shadow frames!

So cute!

Oh yes, full moon at dusk = perfection.

Favorite!

How cute is the little old man checking them out?

The sky changes within minutes at sunset, giving us lots of options for unique colors and backdrops, YEY!

The balloons are their wedding colors, totally their idea…making them fly over Chicago…mine ;)

It’s OK to be jealous if you don’t live here, we have the coolest City in the world!

I’m pretty sure the wedding is going to be pretty awesome, with such an adventurous  couple how could it not be…I can’t wait!!!
