Newborn Boy-Girl Twins, Chicago IL

I had the pleasure of photographing Sandra & Leszek’s wedding a couple of years ago, [click here to see their awesome wedding photos] and now they had a couple of new reasons to call me. ¬†It’s so great to keep in touch with my couples and see their families grow ūüôā

I love photographing babies with nothing on, really why cover up that perfection with clothes?

Ahh…sleeping babies, is there anything more precious? Nope.

Don and Tina, Geneva IL Wedding

Right from this first fist photo you can tell the type of Bride Tina is, fun and laid back. And not to mention¬†extremely¬†cool…I mean she wore not one, but 2 pairs of custom made Converse ¬†All Stars on her wedding day. The white ones were for the ceremony and the red ones for the party.

I mean really, come on! How could I not use the red jelly beans for the ring shot?

Don and Tina decided to see¬†each other¬†before the wedding, so we’d have time for photos¬†beforehand. ¬†I definitely do recommend this if you want to feel more relaxed and you want your day to be less rushed. Here’s Don anxiously waiting for his bride, while I try to keep the elevator door open for Tina. ¬†(photo by Carolyn)

Fantastic shot by Carolyn of the ‘first look’ ¬†ūüôā

The reception and the ceremony took place at the The Herrington Inn and Spa in Geneva IL.  It looked so beautiful all decorated for the Holidays.

The bridal party had a lot of testosterone, it was fun to be around this wild bunch ūüėČ

Tina was a trooper braving the cold December weather , we had a great time shooting in Geneva.

L_O_V_E   THIS!!!!!

Tina wasn’t alone in her coolness, check out Don’s socks and shoes, he definitely has style!!

By the spa.

You know I was excited when I shot this photo!!!

These two were up for anything, literally!  Thanks for climbing the wall Don!!

OK, this was such a great moment to see, the B & G walked in together for the ceremony. Why not? That’s one of the many things I loved about this wedding it was unique, they made it their own.

All the amazing lighting was by Chicago Lighting Design.

Music by The Innocenti Strings.

Loved the feather centerpieces on the cocktail tables…great way to save $$ on flowers.

This stunning cake was from the Cakery in Aurora.

Check out this ingenious idea from the Groom…Ice sculptures¬†instead¬†of flowers…WAY cheaper! ¬†Good job Don! [ Nadeau’s Ice Sculptures. ]

The ‘Candy Bar’ for their guests was a huge hit!

Every time I see this photo I melt, it’s so romantic…he literally¬†swept¬†her off her feet! (and he did it with one arm, even more¬†impressive!)

The awesome music was courtesy of the Brill Babies, they were so fun and kept the party going.

I don’t think they stopped dancing the whole night.

The best man showing off his moves.

Oh, yeah they wore us out.

I love this last photo it pretty much sums up the day for me… I mean what else could you¬†possibly¬†need when you have great music,¬†great¬†friends, ¬†plenty of alcohol, your wife by your side and a great cigar?

A very special thank you to Cynthia from Everlasting Elegant Wedding who not only made sure that everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding, but also did the flowers!

Published in Chicago Style Weddings Magazine!!!

I’m so¬†exited¬†to announce that some of my photos have been published in Chicago Style¬†Weddings¬†Magazine. ¬†They also quoted me for some of their articles ūüôā This photo was taken at Jenn and Trey’s wedding. Even though their wedding was not ¬†“at Home” I guess the editors felt it was a good photo to illustrate the¬†article….I really don’t mind ūüėÄ

In this article they have really great tips on finding the right photographer, and I was really happy to put my 2 cents in when they called…for those of you who know me, you know I’m not shy about expressing my opinion ūüôā

Two of my couples are featured in the newlyweds section.

Jenn and Trey (who are expecting a baby soon, Congrats!!!)

And Liz and Justin!!

There’s another great article about new trends in wedding photography, and they used Megan and Josh’s photo to illustrate that article!!!

The featured couples were all from ’08 since they ask for photos at least 6-12 months before they go to publication. Hopefully we’ll see some of my ’09 couples this year!!!

The groom arrived at the church in style!

A¬†wonderful¬†moment¬†between¬†the couple and the Bride’s dad.

The ceremony took place at Mar Sargis Holy Apostolic  Catholic Assyrian Church of the East. It is a Christian church that traces its origins to the Sea of Babylon, said to be founded by Saint Thomas the Apostle. Most of the ceremony was in Aramaic. It was beautiful, I felt like I was stepping back though time.

Great shot by my assistant Carol!

Congratulations ūüôā

One of my favorites! Michelle was one of those Brides who enjoyed every second of  the wedding, it was so wonderful to see!
