Chicago Botanic Garden wedding photos [Glencoe Illinois romantic night time photography] Jennifer and Dom photo of the week-

It wasn’t east getting this shot…a big thank you to Jennifer and Dom for their patience and dedication to make sure they had great photos.

Taken at the McGinley Pavilion at the Chicago Botanic Gardens in Glencoe IL.

Fulton’s on the River wedding photography [Chicago Downtown venues/planning] Kristin & Tom part 2-

Here’s part two of Kristin & Tom’s wedding, the reception was at Fulton’s on the River. Here are a couple of the bridal party in front of the restaurant.

Their signature drink, the Mintjal Mojito.

Band–Final Say of Maggie Speaks.

A few night time romantic portraits.

Love this one.

From the Bride…

“Our awesome band – Final Say of Maggie Speaks.  Robbie was the contact person and he did a great job of making sure all of the songs we wanted played on our wedding day were played and the ones we didn’t like weren’t played! 🙂  The band kept the dance floor packed all night! I thought they were the best part of the night; the shots of the band with the Chicago River and buildings behind them looked awesome!

Venue – Fulton’s on the River.  Food was catered by Levy Restaurants. We also had some uplighting and the poles covered in the room.  I thought the room looked absolutely beautiful, they did a great job setting it up just like I had pictured.  I am glad we rented out the entire bottom floor because I thought it gave our guests a lot of room to walk around and it was cool how we ate dinner in one room and had the dance floor and band located in another room! Jamie Patrick was our wedding coordinator and she was beyond amazing.  I cannot say enough good things about her.  She always replied to our e-mails in a timely manner, sat down and talked with my family when we had questions and made sure everything went smoothly the day of the wedding.  She is truly an awesome person to work with and great wedding coordinator.  I cannot recommend Fulton’s and Jamie Patrick enough!  Everyone told us how awesome the food was and my family and I were very pleased with the food and the service.  Everything was outstanding.

My  favorite memory was sitting up at the head table just looking around the room and knowing that everyone was there to celebrate us.  It was surreal!  Finally, once the music started up and we had finished dinner I had a blast dancing with my family and friends and just letting loose!  I wish I could re-do the day all over again because I barely remember it!
Hilda, I love you and Carol too – I recommend you to all of my recently engaged friends!”

Wedding ceremony at Madonna Della Strada Chapel at Loyola University wedding, Chicago Illinois –

I freaking LOVED this wedding!!! I loved the couple, I loved the weather, I loved the vintage Cadillac, loved the family, and I especially LOVED  the timeline…everything was perfect. Please note the number of amazing photos you get when you give your photographer enough time to create them. The Bridal party consisted of the Bride’s Mom as her Maid of Honor, and the Groom’s dad as his Best Man..how sweet is that?

The Bride got ready at the beautiful Orrington Hotel, in Evanston IL.

Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

Flowers by Ashland Addison Florist, Chicago.

Dress & Veil: Brides by Demetrios.

Tuxes by the Men’s Warehouse from the Vera Wang Collection.

Makeup by Sonia Roselli.

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Madonna Della Strada Chapel on the Loyola University Chicago campus.

An exited little guest watches the ceremony.

It was a beautiful and intimate wedding, the guest-list was around 40 people.

The most amazing Church location in the entire City of Chicago, Lake Michigan is literally a few steps away.

See? Gorgeous!

The clouds were absolute perfection.

Oh yeah, triple whammy, love :0)

The wind decided to have a little fun with the veil.

Andrew from Vintage Chauffeuring in Plainfield was our most excellent driver, thank you for all your help Andrew!  Carolyn and I got to ride in the Vintage Cadillac too, we felt like celebrities since everyone was pointing and staring.

These two are like a couple from a romantic movie, except they’re for real.

Just taking a cruise down Lake Shore Drive.

At the Palmer House Hilton.

Love them all, I mean really….how can I possibly choose a favorite?

From the Bride…

Flowers: Addison Ashland Florists. An OUTSTANDING florist! They worked so hard to make sure our wedding was nothing but perfect! They accommodated every request even changing our order two weeks before!! I highly recommend them.

Tux: Men’s Warehouse. Vera Wang Collection.    Cuff-links: Burberry

Limo: Vintage Chauffeuring in Plainfield. I can honestly say that the service Andrew Armitage and his staff provided for our wedding was without doubt the most professional, efficient and well-organized chauffeur service that I have experienced. The drivers were polite, cheerful and their timekeeping on pick-ups and transfers were impeccable. I was also very impressed with Andrew’s fleet of vintage cars and his flexibility with the frequently changing arrival and departure schedules. I would highly recommend using Vintage Chauffeuring for any event!

Photographer: Angel Eyes Photography. After our wedding last month, all we keep hearing from our guests is how you are THE BEST wedding photographer!!!  A few things that we really appreciated … your ability to capture the moment and the true, honest emotion of the day is unparalleled; you’re fun and silly yet very professional and responsive; the talent and experience that you bring to the table made us feel very comfortable with trusting you the day of; you made yourself available to us for meetings, and offering suggestions for our big day. ALL of our guests raved about what an amazing photographer you are.  Thank you, Hilda and Carolyn. You two were truly a special part of our day! 🙂

A quick stop at Portillo’s for a hot dog and some fun photos.

Lots more coming in part two, don’t forget to check back!!  If you like the photos, please leave a comment below 🙂

Wedding at the Shedd Aquarium Chicago [unique wedding venue, Chicago skyline] Photo of the week Amy and Anthony-

LOVED this location, it’s definitely one of the best views of the skyline in Chicago….The ceremony took place on the  Lakefront Terrace at the Shedd Aquarium.

Just had to add this one too, they are so cute together!

Michelle and Eric…Chicago fun, romantic engagement session [couples portrait photography]-

The romance of Michelle and Eric is so incredible that you’d be in tears if I told you how the first few weeks of their relationship unfolded. (But I won’t because it’s too long, and I’m not a very good writer) When I first met them at my office and they shared their story with me,  I sat there with my mouth hanging open and  I kept thinking…This. Is. A. Movie!! Actually if it was made into a movie you’d think it was all made up, but it’s real people! True love and romance are still alive, I see it every week 🙂 BTW for those of you still dating or trying to find ‘the one’ go on line, really! A lot of my  couples meet on line,  I think it’s close to 40% now.

Eric proposed at the Theater where Michelle works, so it seemed like the prefect spot to start their session.

The next stop was Navy Pier where they had their first date.

It’s such a shame they’re so shy and reserved 😉

I ‘forced’ them to be serious for a few…

I love how fun they are, never a dull moment 🙂

Obviously, these last two are my favorites…LOVE!

Thank you to Patti for recommending them to me, check out her work on the With Love Bridal website.

Photo of the week Jen and Chris, Lincoln Park Chicago wedding photos [A New Leaf wedding venue]-

After the ceremony at A New Leaf in Chicago,  we ran across the street to Lincoln Park for a few photos. This one is my favorite 🙂

Kristin and Tom Wedding ceremony at Holy Family Church in Inverness, [Palatine Illinois wedding planning]-

Kristin and Tom’s wedding had it all…a  happy and cooperative Bridal party, gorgeous Bride and Groom , amazing attention to detail …and plenty of bling 🙂

Kristin designed her shoes on line at Nina Shoes.

Her belt for the party.

Lace from her Grandmother’s dress (something borrowed) and her birthstone (something blue) Kristin had this wrapped around her bouqet.

Hair bling.

Back of the dress with veil detail.

Gorgeous sisters 🙂

As some of you might know, I have a slight obsession with long veils, but I have never seen a veil like this. It was just gorgeous lined with petals.  The veil was a gift from the Groom’s Mom.

Wedding dress and veil  purchased from Priscilla’s of Boston in Oakbrook.

Flowers by Grattoni.

All of them gorgeous, inside and out  🙂

Bridesmaid’s  tattoo.

The handsome groom waiting for the ceremony to start.

Bridesmaids doing push-ups right before the ceremony to get their energy levels up. If I remember correctly one of them was 5 months pregnant!!

Minutes before the ceremony.

Holy Family Catholic Church, Inverness/Palatine

From Kristin…

*Wedding dress and my gorgeous veil were purchased from Priscilla’s of Boston in Oakbrook; wedding dress was part of the Vineyard Collection, veil was part of the Melissa Sweet collection.  It has since closed down, but I bought the dress, and fell in love with it, 2 days  after we got engaged almost a year and a half ago!

*The veil I fell in love with  right away too, but it was pretty expensive so we kept looking around, then Tom’s mom,  surprised me and bought it for me a few months after I bought my dress!  I had a great experience with Priscilla’s of Boston, but as I said all of the  stores have since closed down!

*Flowers were done by neighbor in the suburb of Hoffman Estates, Joyce Grattoni, she owns her own business called Flowers by Grattoni. She works out of her home. She is absolutely wonderful to work with and extremely hard working and sweet.  She was always  there to answer questions for my mom and I and did a great job decorating the church, traveling down to the city to decorate our venue, and returning to clean up the flowers after our ceremony in the suburbs!  I cannot say enough good things about her!

* I designed my wedding shoes on Ninashoes.com to match with the black bridesmaid dresses!

* Bridesmaid dresses were part of the Alfred Sung collection!  We ended up buying them at House of Brides Couture in downtown Chicago.

* Grooms got tuxes from Formally Modern Tuxedo in Schaumburg! That place is awesome!

*We got married at Holy Family Catholic Church.  This has been my church since I was a little girl and could not have pictured getting married anywhere else. It has a very special meaning to me and is located in Palatine which is where Tom and I live now 🙂

The reception was at Fulton’s on the River.

Lots more coming in part two check back soon!

Photo of the week, Betsy and Will [Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary Evanston, Northwestern University]-

Below is one of my favorites from Betsy & Will’s wedding, they got married at the Garrett–Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston. Clearly one of the most impressive stained glass windows I’ve ever seen.

Happy Independence Day! I love this country 🙂

Jennifer and Dom teasers, Chicago/Glencoe Botanic Garden wedding-

I usually post a few teasers from recent wedding on Facebook, but neither Jennifer or Dom are on FB (yet!) here are  a couple of  favorites. You’d never know it was 90 degrees with 60% humidity, they were such troopers!

Love, love, LOVE the one below….did I mention LOVE?

Jennifer and Dom, let’s get you guys on Facebook and you can see more photos 🙂
